Pavel Eisner (1889-1958) was an intermediator between German and Czech literature. After completing his studies at German university in Prague, where he devoted his attention to Slavonic and German studies, he become a noteworthy translator. Apart from this, he was an untiring propagator of Czech culture in the Germane language environment.
